What Does Green Stool Mean

As you ought to hold the camera in low light

We are approaching Easter where usually make a lot of pictures at night because the environment there is often the street processions, lights, etc, and of course if we have the itch to take photos quickly launch we will try to reflect everything that we see around us would like to capture on camera.
But we have a problem and is usually the shutter speed is usually very slow even though we put the ISO higher or relocate the aperture lenses, and the worst is probably where we do not carry the tripod and we can not rely on any site because ever since this site does not get what we want.
Today I will give a series of tips for those night shots I go right, or at least medium well.
1) Make them go up on RAW and ISO: Clearly, we must raise the ISO all of our camera if not mind because the SLR cameras are now very good, but leave some noise if the conduct in any RAW processing program can reduce the noise and leave as a photo either ISO 400 even though we shot at ISO 3200. Photoshop
version 5 and processing camera RAW noise you get is just great and amazing.
This is a shot taken at ISO 1600 with a compact and a cut of 66%

Now once played with the noise filter in Photoshop RAW

And here the picture Camera RAW and processed with the noise control applied.

As you see you can not say a priori that has been made to ISO 1600 with a compact, nor can claim to be perfect, but with an SLR camera you will see that this is much better and noise will always be at least 5 times lower.
2) If you use a normal zoom, focal low because we use more light in these areas, many of the fans zoom handle media are almost 2.8 (3.3 or 3.5 is normal) in that area, and there gained nearly two points of light, if we consider that the cameras are high resolution and can make cuts of longer focal lengths, it's easy to get from here similar effects to a larger zoom (as I have shown in an article earlier here), thereby avoiding blur.
this example, the following photo is made with 15mm focal length because it was where better could have as much light as acceptable shutter speed for the ISO I wanted. Is easy then make a cut equivalent to zoom I wanted to have used, since the cameras have enough resolution for the image quality more than adequate. An example that is not good but it does show what I mean: 15mm
picture made with light a little lower than 2.8.

And here cut to the equivalent of about 40mm that would be used with the same brightness because it comes from 15mm.

3) a good grip the camera, make sure you do not know most of you that You begin to decide upon these photos, they are all handmade to prove what I say.
The first is done only by taking either the camera shutter 0.8 seconds, nearly a second and as you see only this shudder.

Or this one made to 0.6 sec.

And last but not easier than 1 sec and hand without the support of all, this is worse, but of course is that a second is very committed to the subject and has done very acceptable anyway.

But how we achieved this?, Then simply picking up the video camera as I show below. The camera must
grab for these cases always trying to take it over a fulcrum, if you catch the normal way that the camera will always have this pivoting on your hands too hard or you to stay very still.
The way I suggest that photographers with some experience using the following for these cases of low speed:

As you see, you support the camera in one of your shoulders and with the other hand manejáis the camera. The hand opposite the shoulder, which help holding the camera handles well.

Thus you have a triple support the camera is always more stable than two supports.
This way I have used in the photos that I have shown and talk of Easter and images that will probably take a picture here I leave a shot with this technique and a shutter speed of ½ sec.

As you can see if we take minimal precautions you can take pictures at low speeds all vibrate. This is the result of applying the technique together on a street in Madrid at a rate of ½ sec.

is worth bearing in mind these things, right? ... ..

ah! thanks Elizabeth for serving as a model for gripping the camera :-)
